Hello, I'm Ms. Lateasha Mays, cofounder of 2 Ladies and a Yoga Mat. I'm a proud mother of three and actuated by the love I have for my children.
I began a conscious journey into myself in 2009. 2009 was a pivotal year because of the many challenges I had to overcome. So I sought out a way to get well and be at peace. I began reading a myriad of self-help books, attending the School of Practical Philosophy, and attending retreats at Kadampa International Retreat Centers. Consequently, I developed a meditation practice, started mindfulness rituals, and practicing yoga. With every practice, I became a more conscious being and created a more conscious existence - and all the challenges I thought I was experiencing didn't seem so challenges anymore. I have learned and continue to benefit from the transformative power of yoga. I decided to become a yoga teacher because practicing yoga is an integral part of my mental, physical and spiritual health. and I wish to share this knowledge with all that are willing to learn. Incorporating yoga into my life has made me a better mom - and there's nothing more important to me! |
